Punk Our view Michaels View Punk mainly started in the 1970's with The Sex Pistols, The Clash etc. This new style of music made people wear Mohawks, safety pins through ears and noses, all leather. A big thing that happened then was a t-shirt saying "pink Floyd bites!". Which doesn't sound big to us but it was then. These days we have to may punk bands like blink-182 and greenday, but there is more as you could say "proper punk" like h20 and guttermouth is here.
