Tom's Gothic View

Gothic metal has been around for some time now, from 80's goth bands like bauhaus to the well known goth bands of today like cradle of filth, dimmu borgir and lacuna coil. Most people associate goth metal with the dark clothes and the antichrist cross burners but i believe in the music.A recent show that took place at the Astoria in London with a really cool line up of Susperia, Nevermore,Lacuna coil, In flames and Dimmu borgir.This venue ended up with a full house and with in flames rated as the bast band! so if i had to describe goth metal i would say...Fukkin crazy! And also i would also say that many other gothic metal bands are underground and unheard of by many. a list of goth bands which stand out definately are Coal chamber, cradle of filth, dimmu borgir, Marilyn mansons band and godhead. so my point is how does gothic music contend to other music like nu-metal ect we want to hear what you have to say and if you have seen any gothic metal bands live give me a shout and tell us about it we wanna hear from you, anyway until next time...
